First this: For our readers and listeners in the United States, Happy Memorial Day from Doublekill.US.
In this week’s episode, Omega and Superior make history by officially announcing to the world that the zombie apocalypse is no longer forthcoming, because it is, in fact, upon us. From there, Fred (of the “Grown As Gamers” podcast) joins us as we discuss what may be the absolute most ridiculous post of all time. It should be noted that this particular discussion is incredilong, and likely has more tangential nonsense (we actually talk about getting a haircut at one point) than any topic of any DKC that has come before. It’s pretty fantastic.

After last week’s “Triple Killcast”, we return to our standard lineup this week with Jason Superior and Jason Omega on a blitzkrieg of gaming news and opinion that you’re not going to want to miss. It feels like 4th Quarter with all of great games coming out recently, and this week there’s no shortage of news. We kick things off with a little game called Diablo III (for which, by the way, we give away a few free codes…) by giving our personal reviews and discussing a few of the controversies that popped up over the last week.
From there, we cover the one of the eternally debated issues when we discuss our favorite foods in video games. Superior mentions something about Eminem, and then we talk about the new maps and mode for MW3. We once again talk about Street Fighter X Tekken, and an upcoming movie based on a Tekken. We discuss Activision paying off the IW guys, as well as a game based on tentacle porn. Somewhere along the line, we probably talk about Max Payne 3 and Minecraft, too.

I’m sitting here, trying to post this podcast, and for the life of me, I don’t know how to describe it. I could tell you that this episode is unlike any of the Double Killcasts that came before for a multitude of reasons. I could tell you that we used a new method of recording, and as a result, I think we’ve produced a better product than we’ve ever produced up to this point. I could tell you that there are a few surprises in this DKC, but I don’t really want to tell you that, because I feel like it would completely ruin it. I’m mostly stuck because, as I sit here listening to it, I just really don’t know what to say. Listening to our podcast has been described as feeling like you’re sitting at the bar, listening in to some of your friends having a conversation about video games, and I’d say that is probably an accurate assessment. This week, more-so than ever.

So, it’s another week come and gone at Doublekill Towers, and here we are with another Double Killcast. To make this episode special, Superior has challenged himself to do the impossible, which he reveals in the first two minutes. From there we talk a little about Gaming World Wide, and their efforts to raise money for charity.
Superior discovers what may be the single most expensive XBLA title ever, and it’s a title Omega owns. Then, for some reason, Superior talks about music for a while, which leads in to Superior and Omega discussing Fez for a bit.
We cover some of the rumors about an obscure game called Call of Duty: Black Ops II. We talk about the rules of the Auction House in Diablo III. Omega doesn’t care at all about Sniper: Elite V2. Like, at all.
